The grassy area adjoining the lake is an ideal picnic spot and the road atop the bund can make a good road for a drive. Cottages in the tourist complex of A.P. Tourism can be booked through the A.P.Travel and Tourism Development Corporation. Take a long drive to Himayat Sagar on a holiday. This lovely combination of clean air, sparkling water and a lush area makes the perfect picnic spot.
